Like on any other day, today, we have received more than a dozen emails from fraudulent marketing campaigns that are on the catch for victims of various scams. One email leads us (once again) to the already known scam campaigns Bitcoin Prime (https://gmxzxwbp.xyz/bitcoin-prime/) and Bitcoin Champion (https://gmxzxwbp.xyz/bitcoin-champion). From there, we are directed to the still active broker scam Triton Markets (www.tritonmarkets.com) a/k/a Triton Capital Markets. Surprise, Praxis Cashier is still active as a payment processor, although there have been warnings against this scam for months.
The Triton Capital Markets a/k/a Triton Markets scam has been active for months with various domains. Karello D Buro LLC allegedly operates it with addresses in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Budapest, Hungary. In February 2021, the Austrian regulator FMA warned against the scam (see our report here). However, that doesn’t seem to bother the payment processor Praxis Cashier (www.praxiscashier.com), operated in Cyprus by Israeli Amit Klatchko.
Next to BridgerPay (www.bridgerpay.com), operated by Israeli Ran Cohen in Cyprus, Praxis Cashier is the worst scam-facilitating payment processor in Europe. At the same time, these two do not act in the dark, but in full public view. It would be time for the Cypriot National Bank as the responsible regulator as well as the EU Law Enforcement Agencies to look at these two companies. But Cyprus is unfortunately different. Very different!
